Everton defender Djibril Sidibe suffers embarrassing moment leaving Carlo Ancelotti furious

Everton defender Djibril Sidibe was left red faced after being forced to head back to the dressing rooms to collect his socks before coming on.

The Frenchman, who dropped to bench for his side’s clash with Crystal Palace, was called up midway through the first half after Theo Walcott picked up an injury.

But just as the full-back was ready to enter the field of play, he realised he was missing a sock and was forced to head back to his side’s changing room to retrieve it.

The incident left his manager Carlo Ancelotti less than impressed with the Italian gesturing towards him before making his feelings known as he prepared to come on.

Sidibe, who joined the Blues on a season-long deal from Monaco in the summer, has made 21 appearances in all competitions for the Goodison Park club this season.

Goals from Bernard, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin handed Everton a 3-1 win over Palace, to move them level on points with sixth-placed Sheffield United.
