Everton defender Antonee Robinson hopes for first-team 'chance' after Marco Silva feedback

Antonee Robinson is confident Marco Silva will give him a "chance" next season and he prepares to return to Everton.

The young left-back spent the season on loan with Championship side Wigan Athletic where he made 26 league appearances.

And, in an interview with Wigan Today , Robinson hopes a good season on loan will have boosted his chances with the Blues this summer.

The 21-year-old says Marco Silva has kept in touch with him throughout the campaign and praised his progress.

"The next goal for me is to kick on towards the Everton first team," Robinson said.

“I’ll be going back for pre-season fighting fit and raring to go.

“The manager’s been in touch with me, he keeps telling me what I need to work on and stuff.

“He’s been pleased with me for what I’ve done this season so I don’t see why he wouldn’t give me a chance next season.”
