Everton confirm Yerry Mina training return with latest Finch Farm update

Everton have confirmed that Yerry Mina is back in training with the club with their latest image released from Finch Farm.

The Colombia international has been out-of-action since the beginning of the last international break, last playing for his side in their 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford in October.

Since then, Blues supporters have been desperate to see the 27-year-old back on the pitch as soon as possible, with the side only keeping one clean sheet in his absence.

And it seems that the centre-back is edging ever-closer to a return as he has been pictured at Finch Farm training as the international break gets underway.

The club's social media accounts have all posted a new image of the defender, with the Instagram caption reading: "Return of the King".

A number of players have stayed at Everton's training complex, either to keep themselves in peak condition or work their way back to full fitness.

Mina falls in the latter category, having kept supporters somewhat updated recently on his personal social media channels with some videos of his rehabilitation work.

The Blues are back in domestic action with a tough trip to face Manchester City directly following the current international break, before another away match against Brentford follows a week later.

Mina has not been the only key player Rafa Benitez has been forced to be without in recent weeks.

Both Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are also currently sidelined with separate issues, with the club not providing further updates on the pair at the time of writing.
