Everton confirm project teams for proposed Bramley-Moore Dock stadium

Everton have confirmed their technical project team on Bramley-Moore Dock in a latest update to supporters over the proposed waterfront ground.

Stadium development director Colin Chong released a blog to fans outlining some changes which will take place to the designs originally submitted to Liverpool City Council at the end of last year.

The Blues are to formally submit the alterations next month and Liverpool City Council are expected to decide on them in December.

But, included in that update, was confirmation over the team that would be taking the project forwards.

Laing O'Rourke have been chosen as the contractors for the proposed build, and they have selected Pattern to be the technical architects in the process.

Meanwhile, British firm Buro Happold will be the engineering consultants for the Bramley-Moore Dock project and Planit-IE, another UK-based company with offices in Liverpool city centre, will be landscape architects.

The blog from Colin Chong read: "The past few months has been an important period for us. We have been responding to planning queries and have established our technical and delivery team in anticipation of planning approval.

"Following a detailed and comprehensive tender process, we appointed Laing O’Rourke as our preferred building contractor. Through their own transparent tender process, they appointed Pattern as the project’s technical architect, working and engaging directly with Laing O’Rourke.

"Buro Happold and Planit-IE have been retained as engineering consultants and landscape architects respectively.

"It is crucial to have these organisations in place now to ensure maximum efficiency and that all elements of the project are joined up at every stage. We have every confidence in the project team assembled.

"Representatives from across this project team have recently been on-site carrying out several further surveys on the land and existing structures as we gather the data we need ahead of a determination by the planning authorities."

The submission of the stadium changes next month will be followed by a 28 day public consultation run by the Council.
