Everton confirm further commercial expansion as Northern Ireland store set to open

Everton have announced further commercial expansion as they are set to open their first ever retail store in Northern Ireland.

The store, which is position in the heart of Belfast's shopping district on Castle Lane, will be officially open from Thursday October 7th and will feature a wide-range Blues merchandise instantly.

In November, in-store personalisation will arrive - allowing fans visiting to be able to have their replica kits customised with their own names and numbers.

The new Belfast offering is a continuation of Fanatics' commitment to reach more Everton fans overseas.

Everton Commercial Director Alan McTavish said: "We are excited to open our first store in Northern Ireland later this week.

"We have a strong fan presence across Northern Ireland and when we were presented with this opportunity by Fanatics, in one of Belfast's key shopping destinations, we jumped at the chance.

"As a club, we are always looking at ways of broadening our retail offer and getting closer to our supporters. This store gives the club the chance to connect with supporters in the region."

There is not yet an in-store presence for Evertonians based in the Republic of Ireland.

However fans there can still purchase replica kits through EvertonDirect.com and JDSports.ie, while the club looks at expanding its presence in the country in 2022/23.

McTavish added: "We are aware of the fans' request in the Republic of Ireland to have our kits in more stores, and we have been working with Fanatics to do so from next season."

“We are excited to welcome fans to the first Everton Store based in Northern Ireland,” said Danny Downs, UK General Manager at Fanatics.

“Our long-standing partnership with Everton has shown that its fanbase is incredibly passionate about the club and we are always looking at opportunities to increase visibility of the Everton brand and the availability of Everton merchandise around the world.

"It is clear to us that the popularity of the club across the globe has increased significantly in recent years, and we’re excited about the range of opportunities that will help maintain this growth and serve Everton fans wherever they are based in the world."
