Everton confirm Farhad Moshiri has bought more shares at Goodison

Farhad Moshiri has increased in stake in Everton to 77.2%.

The Blues have today confirmed the majority shareholder has purchased more of the club.

Moshiri initially bought 49.9% of shares in February 2016 before upping that to 68.6% in September.

And the Iranian born billionaire made it known it was his intention to take his stake beyond 75% by no later than July.

Today's announcement confirms, as expected that, Moshiri has purchased just over 8.6% of shares from the Grantchester Family.

Chairman Bill Kenwright owns around 5% of shares at Goodison with other shareholders making up the remaining 17%.

Moshiri recently saw his personal wealth valued at £1.5bn by the Sunday Times' Rich List but today's announcement will increase that further.
