Everton confirm deadline day transfer for goalkeeper Jonas Lossl

Jonas Lossl has completed a deadline day loan move to Huddersfield Town.

The Championship side were in need of a new No1 after the on-loan Kamil Grabara suffered a serious head injury on Tuesday night.

Lossl, who joined Everton in the summer on a free transfer from Huddersfield, has taken the opportunity to pick up regular game-time to ensure he secures a place in Denmark's squad for Euro 2020.

The 30-year-old has yet to make an appearance for the Blues and with Carlo Ancelotti employing a rotation policy for his back-up goalkeepers, Lossl was facing up to only being involved in only half of the remaining 14 games of the season.

Everton brought Joao Virginia back early from his loan with Reading having only made three appearances and so he will act as the second understudy to Jordan Pickford alongside Maarten Stekelenburg.
