Everton confirm date for kit release and clarify 'commemorative' Goodison Park stance

The unveiling of Everton's kit for the 2023/24 season has been delayed due to the club's fight against relegation last campaign - which prohibited the Blues from sealing sponsorship arrangements.

Most teams in the Premier League have already revealed their strips for the new campaign, with many going on sale earlier this month. However, the Blues are one of a few teams in the division not to have yet released either their home or away kits for the forthcoming season.

And it has now been publicised at the recent fans' forum that such a delay was due to the lack of clarity around sponsorships arrangements because of the club's precarious Premier League position. The Blues only confirmed their ever-present Premier League status in the final game of last season after beating AFC Bournemouth 1-0 at Goodison Park.

It has also been confirmed that the 2023/24 home kit will not commemorate Everton's 131-year history at Goodison Park despite the 2023/24 campaign predicted to be the club's final full season at the Grand Old Lady before a move to Bramley Moore Dock in 2024/25.

At the latest Everton fans' forum on June 1, club officials addressed the fans' frustration and later confirmed both new kits would be released in time for the end of the school term in the United Kingdom. That date is typically the final two weeks of July.

Sean Dyche's side will sport their new strips during the month of July when they face four pre-season friendlies. The first of which sees the Blues travel to Nyon, Switzerland to face FC Stade Nyonnais on Friday, July 14. Everton will then face more routine trips on home soil as they journey to Tranmere Rovers, Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City.

Everton's Premier League fixtures for the 2023/24 campaign will be released on Thursday morning.
