Everton confirm architects working on £100m Goodison Park Legacy Project

Everton have confirmed that Liverpool-based Condy Lofthouse Architects designed the club's Goodison Legacy Project.

And drawing up the plans for the £100m idea sees the firm add it to the list of Blues' projects they have worked on in recent years.

Condy Lofthouse designed Everton in the Community's People's Hub, Blue Base and also worked on the Free School.

And it was the same firm who drew up plans for the blue towers at Goodison and the graphic banner around the perimeter of the ground - which includes the giant images of club legends, such as Howard Kendall - when the club commissioned a much needed face-lift in 2017.

It was in early in the same year, that Condy Lofthouse first produced sketch proposals for the Goodison Legacy Project, as plans to move to Bramley-Moore Dock, gathered pace.

Everton formally submitted an outline planning application for their L4 project on Wednesday, which chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale said is "as ambitious" as the ones for a new stadium on the city's waterfront.

If planning permission is granted then it is likely to cost, in the region, of £100m to complete, with the money coming from the various development partners that will seek to work with Everton on this groundbreaking project.

The club will retain the freehold of the Goodison site, and any profits made will be ploughed back into EitC, with the designs including elements such as housing, healthcare and retail.
