Everton confirm Allan's expected return date from hamstring injury

Everton have confirmed that Allan is due back in training over the next 7-10 days as he targets his return for the club.

The midfielder will then be expected to be available for his side for the trip to face Manchester United on February 8th.

Allan has been absent for the Blues since being taken off in the first half of his side's 2-0 win over Leicester City in December with a hamstring injury.

Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the media on Friday afternoon to preview the visit of Sheffield Wednesday to Goodison Park on Sunday in the fourth round of the FA Cup, listing the Brazil international as one of the players still missing for the tie.

However, Everton posted a tweet later in the day confirming a timescale for the 30-year-old's return.

The tweet read: "Allan update: due back in training in 7-10 days. Expected to be available for our game against Manchester United on 8 February."

Allan has made 13 appearances in all competitions for the Blues since his summer move from Napoli.
