Everton have confirmed the signing of Andre Gomes on a five-year contract, as the Barcelona man becomes the Blues second signing of the summer.
The deal to bring the Portugal international from the Camp Nou to Goodison is worth £22m .
The move constitutes a remarkable piece of transfer business by the Blues for a 25-year-old who cost Barca €35m from Valencia three years ago, with a potential further €20m in add ons.
Toffees manager Marco Silva has been keen to secure the services of Gomes all summer after the midfielder flourished on loan at Everton last season.
He made 29 appearances despite only making his debut in late October and became an influential performer alongside Idrissa Gana Gueye, attracting interest in England from Tottenham and West Ham.
Gomes becomes the second signing of the summer for Everton, following the capture of free agent Jonas Lossl.
