Everton 'close in on' new contract for Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is closing in on signing a new deal at Everton according to reports.

The Times believe the 22-year-old is in line to put pen-to-paper on a contract in the coming days that would keep him at Goodison Park until 2025.

Everton are, as of yet, remaining tight-lipped on the situation.

The striker has been in top form in recent weeks and is the Premier League's top scorer since Carlo Ancelotti took over at Goodison Park with eight, one ahead of Man City star Sergio Aguero.

In total the youngster has bagged 15 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions across an impressive campaign.

This is the forward's fourth season with the Blues since joining from Sheffield United in 2016, with the 22-year-old clocking up over 120 appearances in that time.

A potential new deal for Calvert-Lewin could shortly follow confirmation of Mason Holgate committing his long term future to the club.

The defender signed a new contract on Tuesday which will keep him at Goodison until 2025.
