Marco Silva has provided an update on Andre Gomes' fitness ahead of Everton's meeting with Sheffield United on Saturday.
The midfielder played the full 90 minutes against Wolves before the international break, but was later revealed to have picked up a rib injury during the 3-2 win at Goodison Park.
The 26-year-old missed last weekend's 3-1 loss away to Bournemouth with the issue, and the Blues manager has now confirmed he will be without the Portuguese man once more for Saturday's clash.
"Andre Gomes is out and JP Gbamin is out as well," Silva told his pre-match press conference.
"It's the type of situation we have to see day-by-day. He's getting better, but he's not in full training with the team.
"If he's feeling better he'll start to take the next step, but we have to look at him day-by-day to get him in the best condition possible.
"We have to see in two or three days and after that I can give more information to you."
Everton put in a below-par performance against Bournemouth last weekend, and the manager knows that can't happen again this time around.
However, just because his side were beaten last time out, Silva has made clear he won't be tempted to make unnecessary changes to his side.
He added: "The competition is high and I'm here always to decide what is the best 11 for each match within our plan.
"It's not just because we've lost a football game we'll change everything, sometimes winning is a moment to change.
"If everyone is working hard, let's see what my decision will be tomorrow."
