Marco Silva has insisted Jordan Pickford is in the right frame of mind for this weekend's Everton clash with Arsenal.
The Blues goalkeeper was at the centre of controversy earlier this week after a video emerged of him appearing to be involved in a fight outside a bar in Sunderland.
In one video members of the public could be heard shouting ‘butterfingers’, ‘small arms’ and saying that Pickford ‘could not catch a ball’.
Separate videos have surfaced online which appear to then show the Everton goalkeeper in a tussle outside a bar, understood to be P’s & Q’s in Sunderland.
The Blues confirmed they were looking into the matter earlier this week, and Silva has now said he has spoken with this player.
The boss made clear he wasn't happy with the 25-year-old's actions - and he should be reminded of his obligations as a footballer.
"Of course I had a chance [to talk to him]. It was the first thing I did and he did also.
"If you ask me as a manager and for us as a club, I'm not happy. The club is also not happy, the player is not happy with what has happened.
"All the other things remain inside. The football players have duties, they all know what their obligations are as a football player.
"It's a matter for us to remind him. Everything we must do, we already have."
The boss has called on his goalkeeper to learn from his mistakes from this week.
"[He can learn] Many, many things," Silva added.

"The first chat we had at the beginning of the week I was clear with him, and the feedback he gave to me was that he will learn from what's happened.
"Everything is clear in his mind about his obligation as a football player and his position in our club and his national team, as a football player we have to be aware of these situations.
"It's already done, it's happened. It's a big learning curve for him to make sure it doesn't happen again, and that's my expectation for him.

However, Silva was also very clear that he believed his young goalkeeper would be in the right frame of mind for when Arsenal make the visit to Goodison Park on Sunday.
The manager remarked: "No problem, no problem at all.
"No-one is happy with the situation, it wasn't a good thing to happen on his day off. It's something he is not to do as a football player.
"But now it's done, we've already spoke and the matter in finished in this moment. We have a full focus during the week to prepare for the coming match."
