Everton Carlo Ancelotti has shared an important coronavirus message to supporters as the outbreak continues.
On Friday the Premier League confirmed that matches would be suspended until at least April 3, which followed news that one Everton player had shown symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and was self-isolating.
The rest of the squad and staff members have been advised to stay away from club workplaces including Finch Farm, Goodison Park and the Royal Liver Building until further notice.
And the Blues manager has now moved to share an important message with his Twitter followers as the outbreak continues.
Ancelotti tweeted: "We are all currently living a very difficult moment and it is time for us all to act responsibly.
"Please think about yourself, your family and everyone you come into contact with. Follow the expert’s recommendations and together we will beat #COVID-19 #StayHome."
Earlier this weekend , the Italian confirmed that the self-isolating player was starting to feel better after reporting a high temperature on Thursday evening.
And the Everton boss believes the Premier League came to the right decision to suspend football.
He explained: "We're not really self-isolating at all, but some prevention measures did come in after a player had a fever, but his temperature has dropped now and that’s the most important thing.
"The Premier League did stop eventually, and it’s about time. It was the right decision faced with the scenario.
"We couldn't continue. Health is the most important thing for everyone: teams, fans, media, everyone who works in football."
