Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti's home targeted by break-in gang

A gang reportedly broke into Carlo Ancelotti‘s home before being disturbed by his daughter.

Police were called to the house in Blundellsands on Friday night after reports of the incident.

It is believed that as the men approached the Everton manager's home and entered the property, his daughter disturbed them and they then ran from the scene before police arrived at the house.

Police said a safe had been stolen in the raid by the masked thieves.

A source told the ECHO that rumours of the gang carrying knives and Ancelotti being held by armed robbers were incorrect.

He is not believed to have been home at the time of the incident and no one was injured.

Witnesses told the ECHO that a number of police officers were seen at the property throughout Friday evening but Merseyside Police have not confirmed this.
