Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti offers big praise to Moise Kean

Carlo Ancelotti has described Moise Kean as a "serious boy" and a "great talent".

The Everton manager hopes to give the 20-year-old more game-time once the Premier League season resumes later this month after handing Kean only three starts in his 11 league games in charge.

Ancelotti was said to be dismayed when Kean broke lockdown rules by hosting a party at his home in April but in an interview with Radio Radio, in Italy - and as cited by Sport Witness - the Blues boss says his faith in the player has not been shaken.

“I think Moise Kean has many qualities,” Ancelotti is quoted as saying.

“He is a great talent and, as I said before, today’s football must surely be based on talent which must however be supported by great character, professionalism and personality.

"Now he is very young. He is a serious boy, helpful and will surely do well.”

On the Premier League resuming later this month, with Everton facing Liverpool on June 21, Ancelotti added: “We all agree on restarting [the league] and therefore I am convinced that everything will go well.

"Of course, playing with empty stadiums is not the best of life but I think it is the necessary step before we can think of opening stadiums for people.”
