Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti addresses Isco and Sami Khedira transfer rumours

Carlo Ancelotti has addressed rumours linking Everton to two of his former Real Madrid stars.

The January transfer window is fast approaching and already reports are starting to gather pace around numerous targets concerning every club in the Premier League.

One of the most common names linked to the Blues over the last few weeks has been Isco, with rumours suggesting Ancelotti is interested in a swoop for the playmaker.

However, when asked about the possibility of the 28-year-old moving to Goodison Park, the Everton boss was insistent.

He told his pre-Fulham press conference: "Isco is a rumour from the press, from the media. It's not a rumour that went out from our side.

"We are not talking about the market in this period, we are talking about the problem that we had and we are working to try and solve this problem.

"Apart from this, Isco was my player at Real Madrid and was a fantastic player. He is a Real Madrid player."

Another recent link from Ancelotti's former club has been Sami Khedira.

The midfielder, who now plays for Juventus, was recently discussing managers he would love to work with in the Premier League and highlighted the Everton boss's name.

And, while Ancelotti had a lot of praise for the former Germany international, he added there were other things to consider about any potential move to Goodison.

"I have a good memory of Sami Khedira, he was with me at Real Madrid and was a fantastic professional," he added.

"I would love to work with him, but unfortunately he's not the only one! I've had fantastic players in my career, I've had good memories of them.

"But to come here to Everton is another thing to consider."
