Everton are to appoint Joel Waldron as the club's new Head of Academy Recruitment.
Waldron has been working as the Blues' Academy Chief Operating Officer but is now ready to take over from Chris Perkins, who left the club in July to take up a similar role Tottenham Hotspur.
Perkins had only been at Everton for less than 18 months after being signed from Derby County.
The son of former Head of Academy Recruitment Martin Waldron, Joel had held the role of Academy Director for two years before a club restructure saw David Unsworth appointed Director of Academy in December of last year.
But the highly-regarded Waldron is understood to have now landed one of the most important jobs in the club's recruitment department and will report into director of football Marcel Brands and Gretar Steinsson, the club's Head of Recruitment and Development.
