Everton and Wolves fans all ask the same Sky Sports crowd noise question

Football fans have noticed something peculiar about the start of the clash between Wolves and Everton at Molineux and it's to do with the crowd noises on Sky Sports.

No fans are obviously in attendance for the Premier League clash because of the restrictions due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

But that hasn't stopped Sky Sports trying their best to create an atmosphere for their television audience at home.

The use of team chants and crowd noises from previous games for the home teams has been reasonably well received.

But it seems as though an error was made for at least the early portion of this afternoon's clash.

Reaction aplenty on Twitter suggests at least the early part of the contest was filled with Aston Villa fan chants rather than Wolves.

And it left plenty of football fans confused and asking the same question:

Everton came into the contest sat in eleventh place in the Premier League.

Wolves were seventh hoping to close the gap between themselves and the top four.

Everton beat Wolves in the last Premier League match between the two sides in September as Richarlison bagged a double and Alex Iwobi also netted.
