Everton and Brighton line ups and team news as Yerry Mina misses out

Yerry Mina has lost his race to be fit for Everton’s game with Brighton and is replaced in the starting line-up by Mason Holgate.

It is the only change made by Blues boss Marco Silva as he keeps faith with the side that impressively saw off West Ham United last weekend.

Mina, who picked up a knee injury against the Hammers, has travelled to the Amex Stadium but has not been passed fit to play, meaning he misses out on a Premier League game for the first time this season.

Live updates and analysis from Brighton vs Everton

Silva’s decision to keep faith with the team that faced the Hammers means Djibril Sidibe keeps his place at right-back and Seamus Coleman, returning from a one game ban, is named on the bench.

Sidibe is in defence alongside Michael Keane, Holgate and captain Lucas Digne.

Tom Davies will partner Andre Gomes in midfield with Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi and Bernard playing in support of Richarlison.

Jonas Lossl is Everton’s back-up goalkeeper with Fabian Delph and Morgan Schneiderlin fit enough for places on the bench.

Gyfi Sigurdsson, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Moise Kean are the other subs.

There is no place in the matchday squad for Leighton Baines or Cenk Tosun. Beni Baningime, a late call up for the West Ham game, also drops out.

Everton: Pickford, Sidibe, Keane, Holgate, Digne, Davies, Gomes, Walcott, Iwobi, Bernard, Richarlison.

Subs: Lossl, Delph, Calvert-Lewin, Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin, Coleman, Kean.

Brighton: Ryan, Dunk, Stephens, Maupay, Gross, Webster, Montoya, Propper, Burn, Connolly, Alzate.

Subs: Button, Bissouma, Trossard, Balogun, Murray, March, Schelotto.
