Everton aim cheeky 'upgrade' dig after FIFA 22 ratings confirmed

Everton have aimed a cheeky dig at EA Sports after the release of FIFA 22 last week.

The club's player ratings were confirmed two weeks ago and they've suggested three players are deserving of an upgrade.

In a social media post yesterday, the club asked supporters for their views on the ratings and issued another post on Tuesday morning saying a 'rating upgrade' was needed for Demarai Gray, Andros Townsend and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Midfielder Doucoure is 79 rated, while Townsend is only 77 and Gray even less at 75.

Lucas Digne is the Toffees' highest rated player for a second year on 84 with Jordan Pickford and Allan just behind with an 83 rating.

Gray joined Everton this summer for a nominal fee of just £1.7m and the winger already has three Premier League goals this season.

Townsend joined on a free transfer from Crystal Palace and he too has three league goals to his name.

The pair were standout performers against Manchester United as Everton drew 1-1 against the Red Devils on Saturday.

Some supporters have insisted Yerry Mina should be added to the list of players worthy of an upgrade.

Others agreed with the sentiment that the Blues' trio are worthy of higher ratings.

Players can be given upgrades when the overall ratings refresh in January and February of each next year, where ratings can be boosted if a player had a good first-half of a season.
