Everton 1-3 Man City player ratings: Ederson shines as Pep Guardiola's men keep heat on Liverpool

Manchester City kept the heat on Liverpool at the top of the Premier League with a 3-1 victory at the home of the Reds' Merseyside rivals Everton .

Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling were all on target for Pep Guardiola's side, but they didn't have it all their own way at Goodsion.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin levelled for the Toffees after Jesus' opener before Mahrez's free-kick fired the visitors back in front.

And Sterling made the points safe in the last 10 minutes with the help of goal-line technology after his effort cannoned off the underside of the crossbar.

City sit five points below pace-setting Liverpool who maintained their 100 per cent start to the Premier League season with a 1-0 win at Sheffield United earlier on Saturday.

Here are the full player ratings from Goodison Park...
