March 01--Everett Golson left Notre Dame only to return again.
A source confirmed the former Irish quarterback, who transferred from the program to Florida State after graduating from Notre Dame last spring, will return to campus March 31 for a pro day.
Golson wasn't invited to the NFL Combine after completing 67.1 percent of his passes, which included 11 touchdowns, three interceptions and 1,778 in nine games, for the Seminoles last season. He suffered a concussion in November.
Golson led the Irish to the national championship game after the 2012 season but was suspended the following season for his involvement in an academic scandal. He returned for the 2014 season, during which Notre Dame won its first six games but finished 8-5.
By the end of that season, Malik Zaire was tapped to start the Music City Bowl.
Golson told ESPN SportsCenter last week he was unsure whether he would attend Florida State's pro day on March 29 or Notre Dame's.
At Notre Dame, Golson will have some familiar receivers to throw to, including Will Fuller and Chris Brown.
Golson threw for 5,850 yards, 41 touchdowns and 20 interceptions in two seasons with the Irish, and ran for 581 yards and 14 scores.
