Ever fancied running your own pub? Here are eight up for sale in the North East

If you've always fancied running your own pub, this could be a good place to start looking.

A number of pubs are on the market across the North East, in areas including Northumberland, Sunderland and County Durham.

Here we have rounded up some of the properties, with information about the price range and their features.

Some are in stunning locations, including those in or near the Northumberland National Park.

1. Pheasant Inn - Stannersburn

Located in Stannersburn, Hexham - in the stunning Northumberland National Park - this is a family-owned country inn and restaurant. The area has been awarded Gold Tier Dark Sky status and is the fourth largest protected dark sky park in the world, which helps to drive year-round tourism.

2. Percy Arms - Chatton

Estate agents Sidney Phillips say the Crown and Thistle, on North Road, in Stanley, County Durham, is a busy community pub with potential for growth and is immaculate throughout. It includes accommodation for the owners.

7. The Queens Head - Newbiggin-by-the-Sea

The Queens Head, on High Street, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, has an open plan public area and a servery which serves both the lounge and bar areas of the pub.

The bar-lounge has a range of free standing tables, chairs and leatherette bench seating for more than 80 customers seated and in excess of 20 standing, under normal trading conditions (pre Covid-19).

There is a separate snug area with a dart board to the rear of the pub which can seat around 16 plus customers under normal trading conditions.

8. The Willow Tree - Blyth
