Event will outline ways businesses can prioritise the wellbeing of their people

Prioritising the wellbeing of an organisation's people has become “business critical”, according to tech company Cisco.

The company said it highlights this along with inclusion and diversity as key to the prosperity of its business.

Hope Cunningham, Cisco Inclusion & Diversity Lead Scotland who is facilitating the event said: “As people are the most important resource in any organisation, it is essential you understand what they need in order to be their best at work.

“At Cisco we’ve just been voted number one place to work globally, not because we have all the answers, but because we are prioritising our employees.”

Cisco is holding a virtual wellbeing, inclusion and diversity event tomorrow (10 November) to highlight “some of what's worked and what hasnlt.”

The keynote speaker will be Cisco HR director Jen Scherler-Gormley who will outline the efforts the company has made.

In addition to Cisco's input, the event will also hear outside perspectives from Emma Palmer, equality, diversity and inclusion at an NHS Trust and Mayur Gupta, founder and CEO of Career Accelerator.

The webex takes place on Tuesday 10 November from 10.30am to 12.30.
