You don’t have to be a tennis fan to know Wimbledon is back. Just look outside at the unbroken rain clouds.
It is set to be a traditional affair — bad weather and the Brits out before the first week is done — but we could not be happier to see its return.
Our hearts go out to British number one Johanna Konta, who has been forced to withdraw from the tournament after a member of her team tested positive for Covid-19. Having won a warm-up event in Nottingham, it is a huge disappointment for her and the country.
Thanks to Covid, it is set to be a Championships like no other, but we are thrilled to see it back in its rightful place.
