Detroit Lions fans generally don’t hold Clay Matthews in very high regard. Sure, they respect the longtime Green Bay Packers pass rusher for his skills and accomplishments. He’s been one of the NFL’s best pass rushers and impactful EDGEs — when healthy — over the last decade. But he did it in a Packers uniform and often did so at the expense of the Lions.
Now with the Rams after parting ways with Green Bay this offseason, Matthews put his Packers past behind him and joined in the resounding chorus slamming the NFL and its officiating after the blatant shafting of the Detroit Lions that handed the Packers a win on Monday Night Football.
