Eat Out to Help Out has proved so popular that a growing number of restaurants and bars are extending the discount deal during September.
With the government-subsidised scheme now at an end, many restaurants and bars have taken it upon themselves to continue the offer at their own expense.
If it's a curry tempting your tastebuds, then Haveli, in Attenborough Lane, Chilwell, is continuing the offer - with an extra day thrown in. The Indian restaurant is running the scheme from Monday to Thursday throughout September.
A good time is guaranteed at Nottingham bars, the Magic Garden, Penny Lane and Das Kino, which are all extending the discount offer from Monday to Wednesday.
Diners can look forward to 50% off food and non-alcoholic drinks at the Slug and Lettuce, in Long Row and at The Cornerhouse, with no cap on the discount, from Monday to Wednesday.
Revolution bars, in Broad Street and at The Cornerhouse, and Revolucion de Cuba, in Market Street, are also running the same deal between Monday and Wednesday.
Diners will have to be quick as the offer has been extended to today (Tuesday, September 1) and tomorrow at Bistrot Pierre.
The French restaurant, in Milton Street, is giving 50% off per person up to a maximum of £10. The deal is available on everything except prix fixe, afternoon tea, breakfast or alcoholic drinks.
More than 64 million meals – the equivalent of one for almost every person in the country - were devoured under the Eat Out to Help Out scheme which was designed to encourage people to venture out in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and save hospitality jobs.
