Even Badals can’t match Channi strike rate: AAP

PATIALA: If Rahul Gandhi feels that Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi is poor then the Almighty should bless all with such poverty, AAP’s Punjab affairs co-in-charge Raghav Chadha said here on Monday. “Everyone’s nephew should have a cash amount of Rs 10 crore, Rs 54 crore bank entries, Rs 21 lakh worth gold, a farm house worth crores of rupees and luxury cars,” said Chadha while interacting with media after addressing a public meeting in Nabha .

In his address to the gathering earlier, he said, “Channi claims to be a poor man, but his relative Bhupinder Singh Honey was raided by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Rs 10 crore in cash, Rs 54 crore bank entries, a watch worth Rs 16 lakh, a luxury car and property worth crores of rupees were seized from him... Honey has admitted that he collected Rs 325 crore during Channi’s 111-day tenure (as CM). So, they amassed wealth at the rate of Rs 3 crore per day. Even the Badals cannot match this strike rate. Channi used to say that he was an auto driver, tent wala and cycle mechanic. But no auto driver has crores of rupees. No tent owner has a luxury car. No cycle mechanic has assets worth crores.”
