Eve Hewson reveals she once stole dad Bono's address book to prank call Justin Timberlake

Actress Eve Hewson has revealed she used to steal her dad Bono's address book to prank call his famous pals.

The 29-year-old and her sister Jordan used to pinch the U2 frontman's star-studded contacts book which once led to a bizarre chat with Justin Timberlake.

“When I was younger, I stole my dad’s address book and we tried to prank call a few people but Justin Timberlake picked up and we asked him trivia questions from the back of a cereal box," Eve told ITV's This Morning.

"It was one of the best moments of my life. He just kept answering.

"I don’t know what his need to win is, he must be a very competitive person. I think he was charmed by us."

Eve is winning rave reviews for her star turn in Netflix series Behind Her Eyes and is no stranger to showbiz glamour having often gone on tour with U2 as a child.

But she also got to live a "regular Dublin life" thanks to growing up and attending school in the capital.

"I got the best of both worlds in a sense because I grew up in Dublin and went to school and had my regular Dublin life," she said.

“Every now and then we got to go on tour with my dad and have this magical fun wild rock and roll experience and then just take the train to school again. So, it was a wild balance."

And she admitted she resorted to some unusual methods to get into character as Adele on her hit show.

“I was scared that I wasn’t going to be able to reach the levels of aggression that Adele needs to reach," she said.

“There was no time in between scenes to prepare so I got a baseball bat and a pillow and I would just beat that thing right before we did a take. That kind of helped me get into the zone."
