Evans Cycles opens its fifth store in Scotland

Evans Cycles is to officially open its new store at Glasgow Fort on Saturday.

The outlet will be its third in Glasgow and its fifth in Scotland.

Evans was bought out of administration last year by Sports Direct, who embarked on a round of store closures.

Its Braehead shop was earmarked for closure but won a reprieve and the new opening marks a significant turnaround for the brand in Scotland. Evans also trades in Glasgow city centre, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

To celebrate the opening, customers will be given goody bags of cycling treats from some of the industry biggest brands an the chance to win a £500 gift voucher. The store began trading last Thursday.
