Evangeline Lilly appeared to snub her Crisis co-star Armie Hammer on Instagram amid his ongoing social media scandal.
Set against the backdrop of the opioid epidemic, Crisis stars Hammer as an agent named Jake Kelly, who tracks down the drug trafficker who arranged a fentanyl smuggling operation between Canada and America.
Lilly, who stars in the film as Claire Reimann, celebrated the first look at the film being released by sharing the poster of herself, Hammer and Gary Oldman on Thursday (28 January).
“I am proud to be a part of a hard-hitting thriller that tackles the issues that surround an industry that profits from addiction (and proud to be in this poster with #GaryOldman [heart-eyed emoji],” she captioned the post, failing to mention Hammer entirely.
The trailer for Crisis was also released on Thursday, marking the first new film footage to be released of Hammer since his recent social media scandal.
The Independent has contacted Lilly’s representatives for comment.
Hammer stepped away from his role opposite Jennifer Lopez in the forthcoming feature Shotgun Wedding after alleged direct messages surfaced that alluded to inappropriate conduct on his part.
Some of the messages, allegedly written by the actor, were sexually explicit and purported to discuss a cannibal fetish.
Responding to the allegations, he said: “I’m not responding to these bulls*** claims, but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic.”
