The Magic are really shaking things up. They already moved off of Nikola Vucevic in the first blockbuster deal of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.
Now, they’re moving Evan Fournier, too. The shooting guard in on the move to Boston. The Celtics were said to be in the running for Aaron Gordon, but ended up with Fournier instead.
The Magic are clearly intent on tearing things down to the studs and rebuilding from the ground up. Fournier’s deal confirms that.
For the Celtics, they get a proven scorer which is always good. But this move doesn’t feel like one they absolutely needed to make.
