Evacuation at Leeds Bus Station diverts services

Leeds Bus Station was temporarily evacuated during the rush hour today (Thursday).

Commuters reported the evacuation on social media at around 5.30pm and some bus services, including Megabus, were diverted and collected and dropped off passengers from York Street instead.

There were reports that police were at the scene and seen inside the station - but West Yorkshire Police were unable to offer any further information.

The bus station reopened at around 6pm.
