Evacuation at Disneyland Paris believed to be false alarm

The emergency evacuation at Disneyland Paris, which left restaurants and venues across the theme park on 'lockdown', is believed to have been a false alarm.

Video footage emerged just before 9pm (March 23) local time of tourists running screaming through the family destination, however online reports now suggest that visitors are being allowed to once again roam freely.

The current cause of the initial panic is believed to have been a technical fault at one of the venues, which may have been the source of some of the 'loud bangs' reportedly heard by guests.

Many people on social media have described security staff allowing them to leave the venues they had been sheltering inside.

Panic quickly spread within the park, with reports of people running screaming into restaurants and hotels being placed on lockdown.

Thankfully, nobody is believed to have been injured during the incident.

Neither local police nor Disneyland Paris have yet issued a statement on the incident.
