"I didn't recognise myself anymore," a tearful Eva explained tot he presenting duo with the support of her husband.

Phillip started the chat by asking Eva about why she wanted to speak out, to which she replied: "About a week ago, I had this massive realisation that I had got through the other side and I actually admitted for the first time, even to Nick, last week that during the last couple of years I felt completely lost and I felt depressed."

She added: "We're really positive people, we're really upbeat and we tell other people, 'talk about it'. But I felt really embarrassed that I had felt so low and so depressed." Eva then explained how she had then decided to post a short video to their social media page and shared how she had been feeling and how she was feeling now.

"I just felt, knowing how very lost how I felt, hoe very confused, I wanted people to know that actually, you can get through it. There is a light at the end of the tunnel," she said before adding: "It's the toughest thing I've ever been through."

Holly asked Eva: "If you'd have had a hot flush, or if you'd have had your periods stop, would you have then gone, 'Oh, this is the menopause?'" to which Eva agreed. Holly then continued: "The information that you had was incorrect..."

"Yeah, literally," Eva replied. "I thought... I didn't even attribute it to the menopause because I was waiting for that hot flush, I was still having periods. I've never had particularly regular periods so the fact that they were slightly irregular was no different. And because of the brain fog, I would think, 'Am I having some early onset Alzheimer's? Is there something wrong with my brain?'

"And I just didn't think... how was my hair falling out, and wow was joint pain, how was not being able to sleep, how could that be menopause?" As she talked about becoming forgetful and not knowing who she was, she became started to cry.

Stepping in while she composed her self, Nick said: "Eva says she lost herself, I lost my best friend," when asked how he was impacted by what was happening to his wife.
