Eva Mendes is gearing up to release her first children's book, 'Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries,' on September 17, 2024. The book, to be published by Feiwel & Friends, will be available in both English and Spanish.

The story, illustrated by Abbey Bryant, follows a young girl named Desi who grapples with fears of monsters under her bed. With the help of her mother, Desi learns to navigate her nighttime worries and bedtime struggles.

Mendes drew inspiration from her own experiences raising her daughters, Esmeralda and Amada, with partner Ryan Gosling. She describes the book as a 'love letter' to her children and all families, emphasizing the importance of managing negative thoughts and anxieties.

'Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries' offers a glimpse into Mendes' personal life, showcasing the bedtime challenges faced by her own family. The book aims to provide a fun and educational narrative of a mother and daughter working together to overcome bedtime obstacles.

Feiwel & Friends' Senior VP and Publisher, Jean Feiwel, expressed excitement about publishing Mendes' debut picture book, praising its relatability and authenticity. The story highlights the universal theme of understanding and addressing our fears, regardless of age.

In a statement, Mendes shared her enthusiasm for sharing this personal story with readers, emphasizing the significance of offering the book in both English and Spanish to reach a wider audience.

With 'Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries,' Eva Mendes brings a heartfelt and instructive tale of family dynamics and bedtime rituals, inviting readers to join Desi and her mother on a journey of conquering fears and finding comfort in each other's presence.
