PUNE: Maharashtra environment minister Aditya Thackeray has announced that the state government will organise an alternative fuel conclave from April 2 in Pune. It will be held in collaboration with stakeholders like the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Agriculture (MCCIA), and the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB).
Oon Twitter, Thackeray billed the EV exhibition, on the opening day of the conclave on April 2, as the biggest EV exhibition in India. He said the conclave, branded as the Pune AFC (Alternative Fuel Conclave) will end with a summit on alternative fuels on April 4 and 5, punctuated by an electric vehicle rally on April 3.
“MCCIA is proud to be a partner for this important initiative. (We are) confident Maharashtra will lead this transition and Pune will be the fulcrum for change,” said Sudhir Mehta, president, MCCIA.
