Euston station was evacuated this morning after a fire alert which has led to severe delays on the Northern Line.

London Fire Brigade was called to the scene at 9.09am and was investigating the alert.

It later said a fire had not been found.

A London Fire Brigade statement said: "We have finished our investigations at Euston underground station. There was slight smoke coming from underneath a train but no fire was identified. Crews will be leaving the scene shortly."
