Euston stabbing: Murder charge after knife attack victim collapsed and died in luxury hotel lobby

A man has appeared in court after another man who was stabbed on the street died in the lobby of a luxury hotel.

Bright Akinleye, 22, was stabbed in the leg during a row at a house party in Starcross Street, Euston, before staggering to The Wesley hotel and collapsing.

Tashan Brewster, 30, was charged with the murder and appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday, where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on a date to be confirmed.

Police and ambulance services were called to The Wesley hotel and Mr Akinleye was pronounced dead at the scene at 11.31pm on Monday.

Police previously said the victim walked into the hotel in Euston Street, Camden, shortly before 10.45pm.

Two other males arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of murder have been released on bail to a date in late March.

Four men and seven women, aged from 19 to 28, who were arrested on Monday at an address in Camden on suspicion of murder have been released on bail to return on a date in mid-March.
