Eurovision songwriter and broadcaster Shay Healy dies aged 78

Eurovision songwriter and former RTE broadcaster Shay Healy has died aged 78.

The Dubliner had been diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease in 2004.

Mr Healy, who was from Sandymount, became a household name thanks to his popular late-night talk show "Nighthawks" which covered entertainment and current affairs.

He was also a talented songwriter and one of his songs "What's Another Year" won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980.
