Eurovision says possibilities ‘even greater’ as Asia contest launched

Asia

The Eurovision Song Contest has announced a new Asian version of the popular international singing competition.
This new competition is scheduled to debut in 2026, with Bangkok selected as the host city for its inaugural edition.
Ten countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines, have already confirmed their participation, with more expected to follow.
A promotional video for the event says: “In Asia, the possibilities are even greater.”
The grand final of the competition is set to be broadcast live on 14 November.
