Former Strictly It Takes Two presenter Rylan, 34, and Scott, 50, were left stranded. However, luckily for them, Merseyside Water Rescue came to their aid to get them back to their hotel, and the pair were given hi-vis jackets for their journey.

In a video shared on his Instagram Stories Rylan could be seen giving directions in their car. "So basically, there's been no cars," he said. "Well, we did leave dinner at the exact time when everyone's leaving the arena," said Scott.

Rylan explained as they were driven to their destination: "Merseyside Water rescue have come to our aid. They put us on a boat but we can't get out of the dock so they decided to take us back to our hotel."

The TV and radio star documented his journey alongside Scott Mills (Rylan Clark Instagram)

A picture was shared by Scott of Rylan at Albert Dock posing up a storm in his hi-vis jacket. "Water rescue but make it fashion," he captioned it.

Rylan has since taken to social media on Saturday (May 13) with a message about the final of Eurovision which will be celebrated by millions across the world.

The former X Factor finalist took to Twitter to share his heartfelt words. "Whatever happens tonight, seeing The whole UK embrace @Eurovision as much as I love it has been the most beautiful part of the journey this year. Welcome to the party x" Rylan typed on the social media platform.
