Eurovision hosts leaves fans stunned with jaw-dropping outfits for semi-final

Eurovision presenters Alesha Dixon, Julia Sanina and Hannah Waddingham ensured all eyes would be on them in Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena.

The trio had the arena audience and fans at home working up a sweat as they walked out for the first semi-final ahead of the grand final over the weekend.

This year, the Eurovision Song Contest is being held in Liverpool despite Ukraine winning the competition in 2022, unfortunately, they are unable to host due to the ongoing Russian invasion and subsequent war.

But fans are ensuring that Ukraine is well represented at the contest, with Liverpool turning yellow and blue in honour of them.

Alesha stepped out in a bright two-piece consisting of a red bralet top featuring a large bow while completing her look with a striking pink skirt which complemented her figure.

Meanwhile, Jilia rocked a leather look dress which tucked in at the waist, paired with a pair of elbow-length gloves as her raven locks were swept back in a tight point tail.

She opted for a glamourous makeup look with striking black winged eyeliner.

Emmy Award-winning star Hannah looked sensational as she wore a floor-length gown, decorated with the colours of the rainbow as her blonde tresses were styled into loose waves resting gently on her shoulders.

A second penned: "Alesha Dixon, Hannah Waddingham, Julia Sanina look amazing #eurovision," alongside a string of hear-eyes emojis.

Ahead of the first performance of the competition from Norway's Alessandra, Hannah explained that the trip were "honorary Liver Birds," while Julia opened the show in Ukrainian.

She later went on to thank "beautiful Liverpool" for welcoming Ukraine and its people "with open arms".

Julia added that the show has "come back to its own roots" as the competition has shown support for Ukraine following Putin's invasion

Speaking to the PA news agency, the frontwoman of The Hardkiss said: "The Eurovision Song Contest has become something more than the biggest entertainment music show last year and this year.

"It has come back to its own roots and aims, which were uniting people in dark times and bringing the feeling of support to everyone.

"And, of course, this is the first time when two countries host together."
