Eurovision 2020 songs and artists as countries unite for Europe Shine A Light TV special

Eurovision 2020 might be cancelled but that won't stop the event being marked in serious style this weekend.

People all over the world were devastated when it was revealed that this year's Eurovision Song Contest won't go ahead due to coronavirus.

A statement from organisers read: "The health of artists, staff, fans and visitors, as well as the situation in the Netherlands, Europe and the world, is at the heart of this decision.

"We are very proud that the Eurovision Song Contest has united audiences every year, without interruption, for the past 64 years and we, like the millions of you around the world, are extremely saddened that it can not take place in May."

There is good news for Eurovision fans everywhere though as the BBC will have a Eurovision night, which will include Europe Shine A Light - a chance to see all the 41 acts set to compete this year and hear their songs.
