- The Eurovision 2026 finalists have now all performed their songs on stage at the Wiener Stadthalle, in Vienna, Austria.
- In a surprise turn of events, Australia is the country to beat after pinning its hopes on pop star Goodrem and her song “Eclipse”. Having failed to make last year’s final, the Aussies pulled out the big guns, sending the Innocent Eyes artist to Vienna.
- All eyes were on the UK’s entry Look Mum, No Computer, real name Sam Battle. Early online criticism seemed to suggest the UK was, sadly, heading for a nul point score with one savage post on X suggesting it was the ‘worst ever entry.’
- Moldova, Finland and Bulgaria also impressed - but now the fate of all contestant lies at the end of a lengthy voting period. The winner is expected to be announced around 11.30pm in the UK.
- Controversy hit the eccentric competition over Israel’s participation with entry Noam Bettan, which prompted five countries to withdraw from the contest in protest.
