Eurostar's new direct route between Amsterdam and the UK isn't launching until later this year, but the high-speed rail service has already opened bookings.
The new direct journey will kick off on the 30th April 2020, but you can already book tickets on the Eurostar website, with budget-friendly fares from £35 each way.
Team that with a stay in one of Amsterdam's top cheap hotels and you could find yourself with some budget to spare to spend on actually exploring the city. (If you've never been before, you may want to check out our guide to the best things to see and do for a dose of inspiration).
Plus, with a journey time of just over four hours, the new Eurostar service could mean you get to make the most of a short break in the city without needing to cut too much into your sightseeing time.
The rail service has been running trains between the two destinations since 2018, however it was only the outbound leg from the UK which was a direct service.
Immigration rules meant that on the return journey, travellers were having to stop at Brussels to go through passport control - which could add up to an hour of travel time.
It's not just Amsterdam which is on offer as part of the new direct return service.
Eurostar will also be able to offer a direct route from Rotterdam (it already operates a service with the same restrictions for travellers as the Amsterdam route).
The launch of the Rotterdam route will kick off later in the year, on the 18th May - and tickets are also already on sale.
Unfortunately for Eurovision fans, although Rotterdam is hosting the competition, the new route will come after the singing extravaganza has taken place. (Still, for those watching the show from home who feel inspired to visit, it will be ideal timing!).
