European transfer rumours: Chelsea striker wants exit despite transfer ban and Europa League win

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has been stopped leaving the club by president Florentino Perez.

Ramos and his agent had hoped to force through a move to China in this summer’s window, but Perez has confirmed he had rebuffed any potential deal.

Speaking on Spanish radio station Ondacero, he said: “They (Ramos and his agent) came to see me in my office and told me they had a very good offer from China but the league rules over there wouldn’t permit them to pay the transfer fee.

“What was I going to tell him? We said this couldn’t happen but we’d speak to the club to satisfy him but that Real Madrid could not afford to let its captain leave for free as that would set a terrible precedent for other players.”

The World Cup winner is expected to leave the club for Barcelona this summer, and according to Marca, Felix is Atletico’s ideal replacement for the 28-year-old.

But they are expected to face competition from clubs around Europe for the 19-year-old’s signature.

Juventus will demand £53million for Joao Cancelo this summer.

Tuttosport claim that it is the minimum price that the Italian champions will accept for their star full-back.

Both Manchester City and Manchester United have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old.

Martin Odegaard’s time at Real Madrid looks set to becoming to an end.

According to the Mirror, Odegaard is attracting the interest of Ajax and Bayer Leverkusen.

However, the 20-year-old’s £80,000-a-week wages could prove to be a stumbling block in a potential deal getting over the line.

AC Milan have announced Gennaro Gattuso will leave his role as manager by mutual agreement.

Sporting director Leonardo has also left his role after the club failed to reach the Champions League.

Alvaro Morata is hoping to remain at Atletico Madrid next season.

The forward spent the second half of last season on loan at the Spanish side from Chelsea, and has admitted he is hoping to remain in the Spanish capital.

Speaking to Marca, the 26-year-old said: “I’m very happy to have joined this team and I want to stay.”
