European Solheim Cup captain Catriona Matthew was in Perthshire today to announce her squad for the upcoming match.
The one-time major winner was at Gleneagles to reveal her wildcard picks for the tournament in September.
There was no place for local ace Carly Booth, despite a top 10 finish at the Scottish Open on Sunday.
Instead, Matthew turned to Bronte Law and Jodi Ewart Shadoff of England, France’s Celine Boutier, and Norwegian Suzanne Pettersen , who made the team despite only just coming back from having a baby.
The eight automatic qualifiers who will take on their American counterparts at Gleneagles are: Carlota Ciganda, Anne Van Dam , Caroline Hedwall, Charley Hull, Georgia Hall, Azahara Munoz, Caroline Masson and Anna Nordvist.The American team will be confirmed on August 25.
A week of events are planned for the Solheim Cup from September 9 to 15.
